Link Building Strategies ...
Use the wrong and ill-advised link building strategies and you'll pay for it in the long term. Play by the search engine rules and you're more likely to be here in the long run.
Admit it, the internet has evolved and this includes the importance of link building. In its infancy, link building was nothing more than a way to heard more traffic to your site. Now, you could practically get an advanced degree in link building! With search engines competing for the best reputation, complex strategies have developed to rate the quality of a website and this includes the quantity and quality of link building.
Webmasters once regarded link building as an afterthought to all the “important” web building. With link building responsible for millions in cash flow, it is now considered a top priority.
What exactly are the search engines looking for? How can a person get on the all powerful search engines’ “good side”? Yes, you will need quantity, but quality is just as important. Search engines use built in algorithms to determine the importance and strength of each link. A positive, organic link is invaluable. You simply can not have too many of these.
That’s not so hard, right? Wrong! Organic link building is extremely time-consuming. In an attempt to speed-up the process link-building strategies have cropped-up. But be aware that these are no substitute for doing it the “old fashion way.” If the search engines don’t like how you’ve built your links they may “label” you and disregard your links. Not the result you want! When developing a link building strategy remember a few key points:
Buy a Link
The whole theory behind Google is that they promote popular sites. If you’ve purchased a link, and therefore bought a favorable opinion of your site, it is considered manufactured and fake! Basically you’ll be wasting your time since these links won’t count for anything. Oh, and if you decide to link back to these link farms, you may completely lose your Google Indexing. The opposite result you want.
Make Easy To Use Links
The search engine algorithms analyze website links to determine user ability. Are your links easy to find? Are they scattered among all of your pages or only on a “links” page? Create genuine web pages with real content. Keyword spamming can lead to a loss of indexing also.
Key to Success
Buying links or keyword spamming may lead to a temporary traffic increase, but the results will be short-lived and you may end up with a de-indexed site. Design a natural, easy-to use, website. Real content with links to related sites will take more time, but your investment will be well-worth it.
