Put someone else's banner at the top of your page.
Why work so hard getting visitors, and then send them away with someone elses banner being the first thing they see?

Get visitors under false pretenses (purposefully using keywords that don't apply to your site). How do you feel when you've gone to a site under false preteens...? Just as bad as people sending you emails with 'disguised' subjects headings (you know what I mean...'you've won...your commission...' etc).

I'm lost (bad navigation). It's so slow (heavy images and banners). I can't see (yellow text on a white background!)

Just what is it your selling? 'I get what when I buy/subscribe...'

Don't give your visitors clear reasons/benefits for staying and regularly visiting.

Ezines are great for keeping in touch with your prospects, but make sure they feel they are getting something of value in exchange for their time (and money!) - try to have at least 50% original or free benefit content.
