The most profitable web site marketers put together joint ventures regularly for their products and services – and by so doing bring in extra profits that they would otherwise be missing out on!

Okay – these people already have established profitable websites, their web sites have presence, so they can simply call up one of their Internet marketing colleagues, tell them what they have, and what they want to do – then … they just do it.

But even if you are relatively new, setting up a joint venture with your website doesn’t have to be that hard. As long as you do your research, come across confidently, and remove as much of the risk as possible for your partner – you will succeed.

Joint ventures for beginners can work one of two ways.

The first way is the easiest to get started with. You simply find someone else who is fairly new to Internet business that has a product or service that is related to yours in some way, and you work out a deal for each other’s customers, or go into a project selling one product or service together.

Let’s say you sell rings, and this other person sells jewelry cleaner. You can work out a deal with this person for your customers to receive a reduced price on the jewelry cleaner with a purchase of one of your rings. The other person can profit by offering a discount on your rings to customers who purchase his jewelry cleaner. This is a joint venture. There are many types of joint ventures for beginners like this around the Internet if you look for them.

Think about the people you know. What can they offer your customers? What can you offer their customers? What could you do together to make a pile of money? Another easy form of joint ventures for beginners is to find someone who has a newsletter that is relevant to your own. Ask them to send an announcement to their list, recommending your product or service, in exchange for you sending an announcement to your list, recommending their product or service.

Of course, you should realize that if your products or services are related, some of their subscribers may be on your list, so you need to not make the offers to your respective lists at the same time, or the recommendation loses its power. Also, make the deal fair to all parties if possible. If the joint venture is successful for you, you will of course want to find other joint venture deals to do with this person – but if they didn’t get anything out of the first joint venture, they will be less likely to devote their time and resources to a second one.

After trying out a few joint ventures for beginners, you are ready to start approaching the bigger names. First, remember that they are human – just like you. Also remember that they all had a starting point. They were all exactly where you are at some point. Now that you’ve cut them down to size in your mind, you can approach them with confidence.

Now, you also need to realize that with success, some of them became too big for their britches, and they won’t give a small fish like you the time of day. That’s okay, just shake it off. There are plenty out there who are very happy to help someone who is just getting started by entering into a joint venture deal with them. Now, the deal may be very small at first – very short term – but as you get to know them better, and as they see that you are trying hard and growing, the deals will get better. Remember, you’ve only just passed the stage of joint ventures for beginners, so be patient!

The best way to find joint venture partners is to become active in the marketing forums online. This is an informal way to get to know people who are doing business on the Internet. As time passes, the relationships you have with other members will develop, and eventually, you will feel quite comfortable to approach them with a joint venture offer – they may even approach you first!
