Professionalism on the Cheap! How to make your website look and sound as great as the 'big boys'
You know that you need to make your website stand out. More than that you want to make whatever you are selling sound and look better - better than your competitors.
Look and sound better ... literally.
There's only so much of a message that you can get across on a flat screen ... no matter how well designed your web site is, and carefully scripted your copy is.
What's the next step then?
Audio and Video. But doesn't that cost a fortune? Not necessarily.
Over the last few weeks I've come across two companies that offer low cost services that could add just that bit of 'pazaaz' that could make the difference between a site visitor and a buyer.
Owned by Scott Woodhead, he produces great sounding audio's for under $50 a minute - and a minute could be all your need to get your message across.
There are also some links on his site from companies that have hired him, so you can see how other people have used his audio's.
If you don't feel confident enough to do your own voiceovers, this really is great value, plus he'll even write the script if you're not 100% sure of what will sound best.

Sound is great, it adds some personality to your site. Now what about sound and video, and not just ordinary video, what about video that seamlessly blends in with your website?
Live Face on the Web, produce custom videos, to your script from a starting price of $260 for 15 seconds ... but you really should visit the site before you decide it's not too expensive.
Nothing like a normal video 'in a box' format, what you do is to choose from a wide range of models, give them the script, and then you get a video of the model with a transparent background to post anywhere on your web page. Does look good.
The only issue is that the videos take a few seconds to load ... so if your web page is that boring that visitors stay less than 3-4 seconds, this won't be for you! Otherwise, this is a cheap way of getting a cool looking effect which done well, should focus your site visitors to take the action you want them to take.
Do it Yourself ...
Of course, you can do it yourself and save a bundle! The 'trick' is to use the right software. I'm currently recommending this one for video, and I'll be putting up a link in a few days for some audio software I've been looking at.
