New 'Pop-Up' Alternative, that is less invasive and demands action ...
While many marketers have got their programmers to find new ways to beat the 'pop-up blockers', here is one marketer who has had an alternative developed ... 'Peel Away Ads'.
You may have already seen this effect on some respected non-marketing type websites like www.techweb.com, where the choice to act or ignore is left to the site visitor - and the offer isn't stuck in the middle of your face on the screen!
Personally I hate pop-ups ... which is why I rarely use them unless there is an excellent marketing reason to use them. But I'm finding PeelAwayAds more 'friendly', and somewhat exciting and different.
You should be seeing an example right now, top right of the screen (if not visit www.multipleincomestream.co.uk or the techweb site). This is the PeelAwayAds people standard peel-away to promote the software, but when you check techweb, you'll see theirs is much more elegant.
You can obviously change the graphic that is revealed yourself (or your designer can), to something more fitting in with your site, having it as subtle or as strong as you want.
Rotating adverts is possible as well, so you can promote several different products behind one peelaway.
Perhaps in 6 to 12 months people will be tired of this effect, but with the software currently $37, it has to be excellent value and worth a go.
As well as the software, you get an instruction guide, and there is a support link if you need help. It took me just minutes for me to get it loaded and working. The real time spent is in designing a new graphic.
